Lori Horowitz is an accomplished, multi-faceted artist, with the emphasis of her work in sculpture and set design. She is a member of the United Scenic Artist Union 829.
Currently, Lori is Director of "Studio 5404" Art Space, curating shows and showcasing emerging and under-represented artists, to build a thriving cultural arts center on Long Island.
Ms. Horowitz received a BFA in Fine Arts from S.U.N.Y Purchase. She has worked over the past 20 years as a scenic designer and artist for numerous companies, theaters, institutions and galleries. She has sculpted and designed for Comedy Central, Marvel Comics, and the Smithsonian Institute. She has designed sets for music videos, television and scenic artist for feature films and series including “Smash”, Pan Am, “Men in Black II” and “Scissor Sisters”. While abroad, she worked producing multi-media shows, designed for the Scottish Dance Theatre and worked as a Scenic Artist for the Scottish Opera.
She was a professor of Theater Arts and Film for Five Towns College for 6 years. Ms. Horowitz has been involved with teaching, designing, and creating art to promote culture and Art on Long Island. She educated students while creating sculptures through an “Arts in Education Residency Program.” She shown in various shows in NY:

Lori is a member of Long Island Professional Sculptors & Supporters( L.I.P.S.S ) and exhibited throughout L.I. In 2011 was chosen by the State Legislator as the representative for woman artists in Suffolk County. Her expertise with a variety of media and her sensitivity to subject matter, Ms. Horowitz strives to push the conventional boundaries, creating thought provoking, engaging works of art.
